Construction costs for each housing unit are approximately $150,000, excluding the value of donated land. With so many wonderful opportunities coming up, we need the help of caring hearts, concerned minds, donations of time and money, and helping hands in all aspects of our organization Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County is a non-profit, ecumenical housing organization that builds houses in partnership with people in need of adequate housing. Homeowners are selected based on their need for housing, ability to repay a non-profit loan, and willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity. Loan repayments contribute to help build additional houses. Because Habitat’s loans are no-profit, they are affordable for low-income family partners. Success is realized in the clearance of blighted property, the faces of the children safely playing in their new homes and yards.
